I left my room 5 minutes to 4 p.m. and walked to the terrace. There was a soft music playing in the background and I saw a table for two. I looked around and to my right I saw Imran and he had his back towards me. I guess he must have heard me coming in when he turned and gave me a wide smile.
"No, you look fantastic. It's me.....I'm under dress...hahaha....did you had a good rest?" he laughed and guided me to the table. I sat and he slightly pushed the chair inside. I nodded," Yes, I did, thank you.....".
"Nice choice of music....dah lama I tak dengar Shakatak....", I started to warm up the afternoon.
"I thought you might like them.....memang dah lama Shakatak ni.....soft and smooth jazz.", he replied as he sat down opposite of me. He stared at me. Aku mula rasa membahang pipi aku apabila Imran bersikap demikian. Aku menundukkan kepala and he was still staring at me when I lifted my head a few seconds later. Then he spoke.
"Q....., you know that I love you. And I hope you feel the same way like I do. Even though we've just met I nak perhubungan kita di satukan secepat mungkin. In my opinion perkara yang baik elok disegerakan. But before we make it official.....", and he took out something from his pocket and placed it on the table. Mata aku memerhatikan kotak putih yang berbentuk bulat. Is that what I think it is?
Imran membuka kotak tadi and mengeluarkan sebentuk cincin emas bertatah belian. Holding it between his thumb and pointer finger he said,"Sudi tak sekiranya Q berkahwin dengan Imran...?".
I guess I was still in shock that I remained quiet and that made Imran anxious. Tiba-tiba aku bersuara, "I wasn't expecting this Imran. I have fallen in love with you numerous time over the course of time we spent together. I finally found a man who cares so much for me and who loves me for who I am. Imran, I berdoa agar jodoh kita berkekalan hingga ke Jannah. Yes, I am absolutely ready to marry you....".
Tanpa berlenggah lagi, Imran menyarungkan cincin di jari manis ku dan dikucupnya tangan aku. I was touched by his response and my next instinct was to hug him.......I lean closer, hugged him and gave a soft kiss on his lips. He smiled and said, "Thank you, sayang. I love you...".
" Let's have something to eat. I have another surprise waiting for you....", he whispered close to my ears.
"Another surprise? I am still trying to get over the first one....", and I laughed and pushed him away.
"Well, too bad.....when you're with me.....everyday is a surprise....", he lift his fork lalu menyuap aku dengan sedikit cheese cake...Segan rasanya bila diperlakukan sebegitu.
"Hmmm....this is good, no, so good....", I have to admit and nodded my head couple of times. Savoring the cheesy and milky marble cheese cake made me forget who I was with.....He took the napkin and dabbed the sides of my mouth. Aku tergelak. "Comot ke?", as I grabbed the napkin from him.
"Tak..", he said. "I always wanted to do that....kalau dalam drama tv, selalukan ada scene macam ni....".
Aku tergelak lagi. " You ni ada-ada je....", I replied.
After tea we drove to a jetty and parked our pick up truck. Imran was way ahead of me and I was trying to catch with him......I slowed down when I saw him talking to two guys then he spoke on his cell phone and they pointed to the sea. They laughed and looked at me. Then nodded and shook hands. Imran waved at me to come closer. I did as I was told....then he disappeared into the yacht.....
"Surprised? Remember I said before if I want to impress someone, I would take her sail on a yacht around this island?", he said and I nodded.
"So this is surprise number 2!", he looked delighted. "This yacht belongs to the same owner who owns the villa we are staying. They are in Australia and I've known him since my college years. The Australian couple used to recruit me during summer breaks so that I can earn some cash to continue with my studies. I had a hard live when I was growing up. Things didn't come easy for me. I had to work hard to get what I want and that has been my principal later in life. Now, I get to enjoy life and work at my own pace.", explain Imran. A sight I've never seen before......
I was introduced to Captain Ian and one of his crew, Budi Utama. We were given safety briefing as well as the do and don't being while on the yacht. No shoes on board, do not invade the private crews area without specific instruction, do not take matters in your hands and no illegal activities....
We set sail and I took the steps leading to the lower deck. There were two sundeck chairs on the right side of the yacht, and plush pillows stacked on the deck. I sat down and later lay a bit. That's when I heard Imran calling me from a distance......I looked around and finally looked up. Imran snapped pictures of me from the upper deck...!
